Shimizu is best know for helping to bring The Grudge to life. The film will be executive produced by horror mastermind Takashi Shimizu. There is not yet a ton of new information about Resident Evil: Vendetta though reports from Kotaku point to the original storyline having a distinctive RE1 bent. Resident Evil 7, which has the subtitle of “Biohazard” is slated for a January 17 release, making next spring and winter sporting quite the RE theme. There also appears to be something rather supernatural about the group. The trailer features a group of three southern people who appear to be trying to get the game’s main character to eat human body parts. The news of this new movie comes on the heels of a new trailer for Resident Evil 7 which popped up on the net in the last few days. Resident Evil: Vendetta (Biohazard: Vendetta in Japan) is slated for a Spring of 2017 release in Japan and as of yet there isn’t a release date in the United States. The latest announcement by the company is a brand new feature length CG movie that is reportedly going to feature a brand new storyline. It is serviceable as a mindless action flick that panders the fans of the games, but has nothing interesting outside of the action.Capcom has used the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) to do a full court press for its Resident Evil franchise. LEGACY Despite the breath-taking visuals, I place it between Degeneration and Damnation. Hey everybody, this torrent collection contains all of the ANIMATED 'Resident Evil' MOVIES that have came out up until today: Plot Synopsis: Biohazard 4D: Executer (2000) - 'In this non-canonical entry in the Resident Evil/Biohazard franchise, five members of the U.B.C.S. None has depth to his personality and comes off as a one-dimensional archetype. Biohazard: Vendetta Chris Redfield enlists the help of Leon S. Rebecca is treated like a damsel in distress at the hands of a sociopath, even when she is supposed to be dynamic and competent. Everyone who is not in the games, is a complete fodder who dies after a single hit. CAST Every known character from the games became a complete badass who can perform improbable acrobatics and defeat a hundred opponents all alone. The monsters were defeated too easily by the heroes, so there was never a case where you would think the heroes might not win. It’s a huge downgrade from Damnation, but still bearable compared to the complete trainwreck that was Degeneration. It doesn’t have any political intrigue, or messages around terrorism and wars for natural resources. The plot is about the straightforward revenge of a merchant, whose wedding was ruined by an assassination attempt. Also, they have very inconsistent powers, as they can spring like crazy in one scene and stumble slowly in another. For the very first time they can be cured back to normality, although they do not bother to show the psychological scars they would have after killing so many innocents, and then being covered in their blood. The zombies in this film are treated as sick people who kill anything not-sick. It takes ideas from all the games and throws them without much thought on the screen, with the ultimate goal being mindless action. SCRIPT -The story is, just like the sceneries, fan service. The context of the dialogues is still corny but at least it’s not made up of silly one-liners. Voice acting was professional and fairly close to natural. Nothing sticks out or has much variety, making it hollow in comparison to the theme-centric war zone of Damnation. The setting is a collection of different areas from the games, almost like fan service. PRODUCTION VALUES -The CGI quality has improved even more than the second movie, making it pretty close to photorealistic. Vendetta stops giving a damn about trying to have a message and goes purely for spectacle, with the plot being an afterthought. Damnation was ok as a dumb action flick with hints of sociopolitical intrigue.
